Melodic, vocally clean, layered, quite heavy, and with a touch of mystery yet accessible.
It’s quite a mouthful to describe the music of NORTH STAR, which immediately indicates that they can’t be pigeonholed. Their songs are influenced by bands such as Massive Attack, Hooverphonic, The XX, Kraftwerk, and MuteMath. The Dutch electro-pop/rock band North Star recently released their second album ‘NSII’ and is fully prepared to tour in the Netherlands and Belgium. Just like in 2017 when they released their first album, this album was partly recorded in the music city of Nashville. And that city has clearly passed on its identity and soul to the band.
North Star consists of the highly charismatic Anne-Linn Beekhof (lead singer) and bassist/songwriter René Postma. They are joined live by a few other top musicians on drums and guitar. Together, they guarantee an energetic and dynamic performance. With a third album in the works, the future looks bright and promising.
Ambitious, enthusiastic, and loads of talent. Don’t miss out on them!
