Your release, story and target audience shape the strategy.

Targeted contacts across radio, media and tastemakers.

Active Follow-Up

Not just sending out — but following up and reporting back.

Focused on visibility, airplay opportunities and media attention.

Transparency

Honest and clear feedback. No empty promises.

In a world where thousands of new tracks are released every day, good music alone is not enough. Your release needs to reach the right people, with the right story, at the right time.

I’m Nick Martinet. At Groove Hunter Entertainment, I’m responsible for the outside world: radio, press, media, promotion and release visibility. I help artists present their music professionally and bring it to the right audience, with a personal approach, a strong network and honest feedback.

While Wouter Baustein focuses on the creative core of the artist — sound, songs, identity and performance — I make sure that music reaches the right ears.

What Nick Actually Does

From radio plugging and press outreach to release promotion and buzz building.
A personal and strategic approach that gives your music the attention it deserves.

Radio Plugging

VRT Radio 1 MNM Studio Brussel NPO Radio 2 3FM Qmusic BE/NL Radio Willy

I personally bring your release to the attention of relevant radio and media contacts.
No cold mass emails, but targeted pitching, preparation and follow-up.

What this includes:

  • radio network in Belgium and the Netherlands
  • contacts at VRT, MNM, Studio Brussel, NPO Radio 2, 3FM, Qmusic BE/NL and Radio Willy, among others
  • a strong release story and professional press release
  • digital pre-delivery
  • personal follow-up and feedback
Your single or album does not simply end up in an anonymous inbox. I personally bring your release to the attention of relevant radio and media contacts, with a strong story, professional preparation and active follow-up. I do not work with cold mass emails, but with targeted pitching based on genre, release potential and target audience. What this specifically includes:
  • Extensive radio network in Belgium and the Netherlands Targeted outreach to local, regional, national, international and digital stations.
  • Relevant contacts at key radio and media outlets Relevant contacts and experience with radio and media outlets such as VRT Radio 1, MNM, Studio Brussel, NPO Radio 2, 3FM, Qmusic BE/NL, Radio Willy and various online radio stations, blogs, curators and tastemakers.
  • Strong release story and professional press release Together, we build a clear release angle: artist story, bio, hook, unique angle, genre context and why this release is relevant now.
  • Digital pre-delivery before personal follow-up Your track, press release and release information are professionally prepared and delivered digitally, so the right people can already listen to your release before the active follow-up begins.
  • Personal follow-up through visits, phone and/or email Where possible, I follow up directly with programmers, editorial teams or music contacts to gather responses, opportunities and feedback.
  • Honest feedback You receive transparent input on how your release is being received: what works, what is missing, why something is or is not being picked up, and what can make your next release stronger.
Important: radio plugging increases your chances, but never guarantees airplay. The strength lies in the combination of preparation, network, personal follow-up and honest feedback.

Music PR & Press Outreach

In addition to radio, I also help you build broader visibility through press, online media, blogs, interviews, reviews and relevant tastemakers. We make sure your release is not simply “just another new single,” but has a story that media can understand, contextualize and share.

What this includes:

  • press release and artist story
  • release angle or news value
  • targeted pitching to relevant media
  • interviews, features or reviews
  • online visibility around the release
  • follow-up and market feedback
Music PR makes sure your release does not only go to radio, but also gets a strong story for press, online media, blogs, interviews, reviews and relevant tastemakers. We do not only look at the track itself, but also at the context around it: who you are, why this release matters, which angle media can use and which audience your story fits. What this specifically includes:
  • Press release and artist story We turn your release into a professional story with a clear hook, bio, release context and news value.
  • Targeted media pitching Your release is not sent out blindly, but pitched strategically to media that fit your genre, region, story and target audience.
  • Online media, blogs and reviews We approach relevant blogs, online magazines, reviewers and music platforms that can strengthen your release.
  • Interviews, features and visibility Where possible, we look for opportunities for interviews, features, articles or editorial coverage around your release.
  • Follow-up and feedback We follow up on market responses, so you know how your release is being received and where opportunities may lie.
No mass blasts. No empty hype. Just a targeted press strategy that fits your genre, story and release stage.

Release Promotion & Buzz Building

A release needs more than a single post on release day. I help artists think strategically about timing, content, visibility and the promotional build-up around their single, EP or album.

What this includes:

  • pre-release planning
  • content ideas for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube Shorts
  • captions, angles and announcement moments
  • use of Groove Hunter channels where relevant
  • coordination between radio, press and social media
  • post-release follow-up
A release needs more than a single post on release day. Release promotion is about timing, repetition, visibility and momentum before, during and after your release. We help you think about how to present your music more effectively through your own channels, Groove Hunter channels where relevant, and smart content built around your release. What this can specifically include:
  • Pre-release planning We determine when your teaser, announcement, behind-the-scenes content and release posts should go live.
  • Content ideas and angles We help with ideas for posts, reels, stories, short-form video, captions and release messaging.
  • Social media timing Your release gets a clear rhythm: build-up before release, focus during release week and follow-up after release.
  • Coordination with radio and press Social media, radio plugging and press outreach are aligned so your message stays consistent.
  • Extra amplification Where relevant, Groove Hunter channels can help support your release for additional credibility and reach.
The goal is not for us to take over your entire social media presence. The goal is to make sure your release is presented more professionally, consistently and effectively.

FAQ Radio Plugging & Music PR

A radio plugger professionally pitches your music to radio stations, programmers and relevant music contacts. This is done with a well-prepared story, clear release context and targeted follow-up. The goal is to increase your chances of airplay and feedback.

No. Honest radio plugging never guarantees airplay. Radio stations decide for themselves what they play. What I do is professionally prepare your release, pitch it strategically and follow it up as effectively as possible.

No. The main focus is Belgium and the Netherlands, but depending on the release, we can also look internationally. This depends on genre, language, target audience and release potential.

That depends on the scope of the campaign. A small release campaign is different from a broader approach involving radio, press, social content and international outreach. Prices start at around €900, but we only prepare an accurate quote after an introductory call.

A release campaign usually runs for several weeks. Preparation often starts before the release date, followed by active pitching around the release and follow-up in the weeks afterwards. A full campaign typically takes around 4 to 8 weeks.

Yes. Your track needs to be release-ready. That means solid production, mix, master, artwork, bio, release information and clear links. If you still need help with that, Groove Hunter can also support you with the creative or production preparation.

My main focus is promotion, radio, media and release strategy. For deeper artist development, sound, performance and creative direction, I refer you to Wouter Baustein, Creative Music Director at Groove Hunter.

Yes, especially around release promotion. This can include content planning, captions, release announcements, timing and ideas for posts or short-form video. The artist should remain visible on their own channels, because authenticity is important.

No. Fake streams, bots or paid “guaranteed plays” can harm your career. They can lead to removed streams, withheld royalties, poor algorithmic signals and reputational damage. We focus on legitimate promotion: radio, media, storytelling and genuine visibility.
